Our long wait to be be re-housed

RICHARD Turner and his wife from Harbury have been waiting nearly as long as we have to be re-housed (Courier, last week).
Stratford District Council has also offered us places miles from anywhere with no shops or doctors nearby. I would just like to tell Mr and Mrs Turner they are not on their own. At least they have peace and quiet, if nothing else.
We haven't where we live. We are still living in this hell hole of a flat (as featured in your paper in February 1), seven-and-a-half years on. We too have maximum points and have been told we must wait as there are no properties available unless someone goes into a nursing home or dies.
We thought we had some hope, but since reading Mr Turner's story a satisfactory conclusion seems a long way off for us and other people who really need bungalows. - Mrs C Hobday, Cross Green, Bishops Itchington.
