I believe that the Leamington fire station could cope if Warwick fire station were to close (Courier, Sept 7).
However, Kenilworth is a different matter. It all comes down to distance, it's bad enough when somone needs an ambulance in Kenilworth. A few weeks ago I was driving down Kenilworth High Street and I saw an accident happen.

There is an issue with Kenilworth but Warwick is so close to Leamington that if Warwick station gets closed down then I'm sure Leamington fire station will be able to cover their duties.
If there is going to be a super all-in-one South Warwickshire fire station then it should be stationed at Leek Wooton, just off the A46 and very close to all three towns of Warwick, Leamington and Kenilworth. Maybe all three emergency services should be stationed at a super base in Leek Wooton in the police HQ.
That would be my solution although I would like to point out I'm not in favour of losing any fire, police or ambulance stations at all. - Mr L Webb, address supplied
