Ovarian cancer fundraisers are planning to hold another awareness day in Boots in Leamington.
Shoppers at the Parade store over the Mothering Sunday weekend will have seen friends Jayne Jones and Jean Beck manning a stall, together with a gynae-oncology clinical nurse specialist Tina Sunderland, from Warwick Hospital.

They were giving out information about the disease which kills 5,000 women a year in the UK and is known as the 'silent killer' due to the fact there is no test for it and women are not aware of its symptoms.

The event was a success and they collected around £800 for the Eve Appeal which funds research into the disease. Mrs Jones, whose sister died from ovarian cancer aged 39, said: "We spoke to lots of women and we hope to raise even more awareness by having another stand. Boots has been great in supporting us and the Eve Appeal and made a large donation to it."

They will be in store on June 9 and 10.
