Warwick schoolboy Tony Russell has become one of the youngest students to achieve a level two qualification in sign language.
The 14-year-old from Round Oak school has been learning to sign with county sign language tutor Mags Adams Aston and hearing advisory teacher Trevor Langley.
Tony passed his level one exam just two years ago and was recently awarded a level two qualification after taking the test in June - to the delight of his tutors.
Tony, who has a severe hearing loss in both ears, wears digital hearing aids and uses a radio aid in school to help him listen to his teachers and to take part in class activity.
Mr Langley said: "In the past we have not known anybody that age get to stage two.
"To be able to communicate with other deaf people through sign language grade two is quite an achievement."
