A seaside resort and circus big top will be coming to Warwick this summer.
Designers at Playbox Theatre are busy recreating the sights and sounds of the traditional British holiday resort for a 'creative waves' project.
A big top will also arrive at the Shelley Avenue venue in July for a circus school with trainers to he
lp develop the company's performance troupe.
'Day tripper' events will be held for children aged five and above visiting for a limited time.
Other activities will include games, art work, music, improvisation, storytelling and at the close of day, dusk illuminations.
Director Emily Jane Quash said: "The memory of holiday is very romantic and filled with evocative nostalgia.
"Before the mega-resort the seaside holiday was a simpler affair and those dusk illumination the finale of a happy, carefree day.
"Playbox want to enable visitors this summer to make 'creative waves' in a range of artistic projects and also enjoy the romance of the seaside and the folk-memory of holidays in the 1950s or early 1960s.
"The whole team here is involved in staging what promises to be a very exciting summer holiday."
Activities will run from July 20 to August 7. For more information call 419555 or visit www.playboxtheatre.com
