Youngsters can show off their talents at an "open stage" event in Radford Semele next month.
Auditions for this year's Twinkle Twinkle - Be A Star competition will be held at the village's community centre on September 13 and organisers are hoping talented bands and dancers from across the district will attend.

Organiser Sue J Willis said
: "We are looking for people with all kinds of talents from vocalists to dancers and specialists acts.

"This will be an annual event and we are hoping to keep the competition local and restrict it to places in the Courier distribution area."

The competition, which started last year, will have two age categories, 11 and under and 11 to 16 with a cut-off point of December 31. Miss Willis, who is a singer and entertainer, will be picking the best acts to perform in a live show at the Spa Centre on November 2. The winners will then perform at the Leamington Christmas lights switch-on in November.

She added: "There are a lot of talented youngsters in the area that people don't get to see and we need to celebrate their efforts."

For more information call Miss Willis on 770860. Participants are asked to bring a photograph of themselves along with them.
