Southam based band Old Ricoh are looking for "prominent" gigs to continue their recent success.
The Southam college students have entered a competition run by Nokia to have their video for the song C.O.V. appear on the phone company's website.

And they have also put their song Micky and Polly forward in a competition to support indie band Dodgy on a seven-date tour.

Manager Peter Maontague said: "We don't want to be just gigging the dog and duck we want to get the band into more prominent gigs."

Old Ricoh reached the finals of MTV's Oxjam competition in February, which led to their songs being played on the music channel for six weeks.

A large crowd is expected for Old Ricoh's performance in Harbury next Friday.

They will also play in a memorial gig in Stockton in April 2009 for former band member Andrew Travers, who died in June. Visit www.myspace.com/oldricoh
