This year's Napton Festival is set to be "bigger and better" than ever with a line-up that includes rock, dance and blues acts.
More than 3,000 people attended the third Napton Festival in 2007 and organisers hope the event on September 13 will attract up to 5,000 revellers.

Headliners include British rock band Bad Company, Coventry-based band The Ripps and blues musician Aynsley Lister.

Festival chairman Gordon Clarke said: "The festival is going from strength to strength and again will be raising money for local causes. This year's band line up guarantees music lovers the chance to indulge in a feast of live music second to none for this ticket price.

"We hope to see people there on the Saturday, but for a great start to the festival they can come along for Friday night music in the marquee."

Some 20 bands will perform on both the main stage and a music marquee during the weekend.

The Prodigy tribute band Jilted Generation will play on the Friday night with a support band and DJ.

The festival started as a way of fundraising for village amenities and last year The Hollies and The Sweet headlined.

It is organised by a team of ten volunteers and it is set on a former camping and caravan park at Holt Farm.

Mr Clarke added: "It's an ideal festival for families. It's in a really lovely setting and not too big."

There will also be lots of trade and catering stands and a fun fair for people to enjoy during the afternoon and evening.

Parking is adjacent to the festival site and is free.

A fully stocked licensed beer tent will be situated opposite the main stage and the music marquee will have its own bar.

Tickets cost £20 for 18s and over, £15 for under 18s and under 12s are free when accompanied by an adult.

A family ticket costs £60 and admits two adults and three under 18s.

Friday night music in the marquee costs £6.50.

Overnight camping is available on both Friday and Saturday at £5 a night.
