Parents and children are celebrating after a Leamington pre-school was saved from closure.
Earlier this year staff feared the Teddybears club, based at Clapham Terrace Primary School, would have to shut as not enough families were using the service.
The group provides additional day care for children aged three and upwards, many of whom already attend the school's nursery.
Children using the facility are given the option of morning or afternoon sessions and can stay on for lunch.
In January only a handful of youngsters were using Teddybears and school headteacher Sue Gallagher believed it might have to close at the end of term in February.
Parent Sarah Johnston was determined to save the group and, along with teachers and service users, she started a campaign to encourage more people to use it. She said:"We are thrilled to bits that we have managed to keep it going and more people using it.
"The number of children having regular sessions has doubled and children who were already using it are coming more often."
Mrs Johnston added: "At Teddybears you get all the wonderful resources the school has to offer with great teachers who have been visited by Ofsted and got a good report. The staff are fantastic and my son Alex gets a lot from it. He is already atending the nursery and the wrap-around care allows him to have longer sessions and get used to school."
Parents and guardians are invited to look around the school's nursery and the Teddybears club during April from 9.30am until 11am. Call Mrs Gehin on 423404.
