MEMBERS of Lillington Evening Townswomen’s Guild have been thanked for their fundraising efforts by young people in the area.

The group has raised £480 over the last 12 months and donated the money to Lillington Youth Centre recently.

Their efforts included holding cake sales and selling hand-knitted dolls and teddy bears.

They chose the youth centre as their charity for the year because they wanted to do something for teenagers.

The money paid for three pairs of trainers for youth centre members to take part in the Two Castles 10k Run.

It also went towards an outdoor activity weekend for ten teenagers, which raised their confidence and aspirations.
