Mattie mops up on the dream sweet shop dash

At one stage Mattie even roped in her ten-year-old sister Martha to help her carry out £80 worth of scrumptious - and rather heavy - confectionery.

Nigel Ackroyd, who opened Mary’s Sweet Emporium in Market Place, last year, was inspired by the famous Roald Dahl story, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, in which one lucky child wins a golden ticket. In Charlie’s case he won the whole factory.
