Manjit transfers to Bishops Tachbrook and Budbrooke policing
POLICEWOMAN Manjit Sidhu has swapped her Whitnash beat for the largely rural concerns of Warwick district where she has been busy liaising with Neighbourhood Watch groups representing Budbrooke, Bishops Tachbrook, Leek Wootton and Lapworth.
Pc Sidhu said: “This is a large area with different issues to confront although I firmly believe one real deterrent to crime will be making each different community aware of what is happening in neighbouring villages.
“We have a team involving myself, two police community safety officers and a number of special constables serving this large patch and although we do need to rely more on vehicles, we will still be seen out on patrol.
“In Bishops Tachbrook the priorities at the moment are anti-social behaviour and speeding through the village while the people in Leek Wootton also have speeding concerns so that we might try to set up a Community Speed Watch.
“I also want to have a push on Horse Watch which can prevent thefts from stables and animals being stolen or hurt in any way.”
