Lillington pupils record tracks at Woodbine Studios
Lillington Primary School pupils are recording a song about fire safety at Woodbine Studios, where the Specials recorded music. MHLC-11-02-13 School song Feb7
FIRST, The Specials; next, Lillington Primary School pupils - a new set of musicians took over a well-known music studio for two days this week.
Twelve children from the school’s reception class to year six and two teachers were thrilled to be able to record two tracks at Woodbine Studios - where The Specials have also recorded - as part of a fire awareness project.
Wonder and The Fire Rap are about what actions to take when there is a fire.
Teacher Richard Wenmouth, who with Robbie Fortune sang with the pupils, said: “It was a fantastic experience. The children are really buzzing. It’s very professional-sounding.”
