Children’s charity celebrates funding with Easter fun and games
Staff and youngsters at a specialist playgroup for children with physical needs had a double reason to celebrate at their Easter party.
Parents, children and workers all joined in with singing, dancing and Easter nest making to mark a successful term at Playskill in Hemel Hempstead.
And on top of that, Playskill was boosted by the news that their bid for Children In Need funding has been successful – meaning the charity will receive £30,000 to enable a second group to be set up.
Andrea Clarke, team leader at Playskill and paediatric physiotherapist, said: “We work intensively to help the children and we work with their parents, and at the end of term we celebrate the success achieved.
“We were delighted to hear that we have secured Children In Need funding for next year to run two groups, so it was also a celebration that we’ve managed to get those funds.”
