CHILDREN at Warwick Hospital have more games to play with, thanks to a donation from Lego.

The Slough-based company have presented two boxes filled with Lego bricks, figures and games to the MacGregor children’s ward at the site in Lakin Road.

Ian Moore, Lego’s IT support consultant, said: “Our aim is to spread the fun of Lego across the younger generation, ensuring children all have the opportunity to continue to use their imagination and creativity when playing with toys.”

Susan Moulton, play specialist at the hospital, said: “I would like to offer my sincerest thanks to Lego and Ian Moore for supplying us with the Lego for our patients. Our ward is always looking for new toys for our playroom and this is a fantastic donation of a much-loved toy. It is excellent that Warwick Hospital is now the 21st hospital on the Lego charity list.”

The hospital’s MacGregor ward, which has 18 beds for children, is staffed by trained nurses and clinical nurse specialists in diabetes and asthma, as well as play specialists and health care assistants.
