Argentinian polo player Sebastian Sabaj is hoping to bring a little of his country's spirit to the RLS Polo Club in Southam.
The 30-year-old first picked up a polo mallet seven years ago on a gap year to England and since then has returned every year to help promote the sport.
This winter he is running the clubhouse at the Dallas Burston-owned polo ground and is hoping to make residents realise how much the game has to offer.
He said: "Polo is a lot more competitive in Argentina than it is here where it is mainly a lifestyle sport and very expensive and for show.
"But we want to change that and are trying to open up our grounds and facilities so that everyone can come and join in the fun.
"Polo is a fast moving sport - not only do the players have an adrenaline rush, the spectators do too, with the horse cantering at 25 miles an hour.
"It is great fun to watch, especially for the families as it does not come with the aggression you can sometimes find at the football."
Mr Sabaj, an amateur polo player, first came to Britain in 2000 to work under the professional player Matais Ballesteros at a different club.
The pair moved to the Stoneythorpe Estate polo ground when Ballesteros, a fellow Argentinian, became polo manager.
He said: "The ground here appealed to us as it has some fantastic facilities, including a spectacular colonial style clubhouse which we use for parties and corporate days.
"This is the first year we have opened the club and its facilities to the public. We are also open to spectators for free throughout the entire polo season. In the clubhouse, after the games, all of the professionals are about enjoying a drink and welcome people to talk to them about polo and how they can get involved."
Lessons are also offered at the club and the season gets underway in May with weekly matches until September.
